Get help or send an idea
Send a problem report or idea through the app or by email.
Feedback in the application
Open Settings, Feedback, write your message and press Send. The report includes the app version, operating system and processor architecture. You can paste or drop screenshots and choose whether to include diagnostics or a reply address.
Help by email
Write an email to hello@dossierforge.com, including if the app will not start.
The buttons open your email app with a subject and report prompts.
Copy logs and Show log file
Copy logs copies the app version, operating system, data folder and recent errors to your clipboard. Review the text before sharing it.
Show log file shows the log file in your file manager.
What to include in a problem report
- what you were doing when it went wrong, in whatever detail you have
- what happened and what you expected instead
- the block from Copy logs, or the file Show log file shows, if you can get to them
Remove confidential product information from messages, logs and screenshots before sending them.
