Withdrawal and refunds

Version 2026-08-11. It applies to every purchase made from that date.

DossierForge is sold to businesses. If you buy as a consumer, Dutch law gives you a right of withdrawal on a contract concluded at a distance for digital content: 14 days, counted from the day the contract is concluded. Nothing on this page takes that away from you.

What the two boxes before payment are

A licence key is delivered the moment a payment goes through, which falls inside those 14 days. The law allows that only if you asked for it and were told what it costs you, so the step before the payment page asks you to confirm two separate things: that you want the licence delivered immediately and that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal as soon as that delivery has started. Neither box is ticked for you, ticking one is not enough and nothing continues until both are ticked.

The licence mail restates both, with the moment you confirmed them. That mail is the record of both. It is yours to keep.

When no waiver was given

If you bought without that step, for example on an invoice we sent by email, the right of withdrawal stands for the full 14 days. One message to hello@dossierforge.com is enough to use it. We ask for no form and no reason. The money goes back within 14 days, by the same means you paid with. Using the right costs you nothing.

This site carries no withdrawal button and that is the reason. The button is required where a contract concluded through an online interface still carries a right of withdrawal. A sale where both declarations above were made does not. For the sales that do, the message above is the route. It reaches a person rather than a form.

What a refund does to the licence

A refund ends the licence. The key is revoked and the application stops accepting it at its next online check, so a refunded copy falls back to the free preview: one product, the first pages of each document watermarked, the rest of each document locked and no Word file. The PDF and Word files you already generated stay on your disk. They stay editable, they open without us and they stay yours.
